You simply place a rolled tortilla into a microwaveable aluminum container and heat in the microwave for exactly two minutes on each side. When the tortilla is done you simply lift it out of the microwave and add it to salads, warm soups and make them into tortilla sandwiches. Fresh tortillas can also be added to soups or even chili.
Are cactus and chilli’s something you have never tried?
I don’t think so. They are much loved by Mexican-American and many other people all over the world. I know some people who actually grow cactus plants and sell them, you can get wonderful fresh tasting seeds at garden centers, and they make great Mexican coffee. I personally grew up with my mom growing those great dried habanera peppers.
What about chilli’s?
I have had my share of excellent Mexican chilli’s from Guadalajara, Mexico, and in Belize. These chillis are usually spiced and offer a hint of mild spiciness to them. I really enjoy the slightly thicker taste of these dried habanera peppers, which is not a common occurrence when I go shopping for this favorite product.
